How Weight Training Helps You Lose Weight and Body Fat

Weight Training is one the best tools to stay in shape reason being weight training helps build lean muscle weight which further helps enhance metabolism. (Faster your metabolism easier it will be for you to lose weight and body fat)

Besides losing weight and body fat, weight training has other health benefits like it can help enhance bone density thereby reducing chances of osteoporosis and arthritis, this is specially helpful for women who are more prone to joint disease.

Lot of women do avoid weight training thinking that they will become big muscular like men but thats not true because in order to get big and bulky like men you need to produce a lot of testosterone in your body, a female body can’t produce a lot of testosterone and hence can never look big (unless they are on male hormones).

Following weight training workout is extremely effective for weight loss and fat loss provided you do it regularly and combine it with a healthy diet.

  1. I think this is the first time I've come across a video that's easy to understand for Indian women who are serious about weight training. I would go to the gyms, be serious about weights, but in general it's hogged by men, and the trainers really have no clue as to how to train women beyond a few pointers here and there.
The other one that covered a whole body workout and is easy to follow on YouTube is BodyfitAmy who also incorporates weights for a thorough cardio plus strength plus fat loss workout. Very helpful for us women keen to go beyond just cardio and like to switch up the variations.
